SPORT FISHING IN CROATIA
First of all, for fishing you must have licence. You can get fishing licence in tourist offices in almost every town in Croatia. Fishing licences are issued by Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development. Prices of fishing licences:
- 1 day licence: 60 HRK (around 8-9 EUR),
- 3 days licence: 150 HRK (around 21 EUR),
- 7 days licence: 250 HRK (around 35 EUR),
- 30 days licence (one month licence): 500 HRK (around 70 EUR).To get fishing licence you must have some identification document, such as passport, identity card or driving licence.
You can go fishing with fishing equippment (fishing rods) or with the underwater fishing gun. Fishing is allowed in all parts of Croatia, except places like National Parks, Parks of Nature and similar places which have special limitations.Here are some examples of minimum allowed dimensions:
- Bluefish tuna – 70 cm,
- Eel – 30 cm,
- Needlefish – 120 cm,
- Sea bass – 25 cm,
- Conger eel – 70 cm,
