Podgora is touristic settlement located 9 km south from Makarska in region Central Dalmatia. Municipality Podgora has around 2900 inhabitants. Inhabitants are mostly directed to fishing and tourism.

Podgora was first time mentioned in 1477., but it is developing more since 1962. after earthquake. Podgora is also a port for fishing boats.
