Pomena (Croatia, South Dalmatia, Island Mljet) is a small village on the west side of the island of Mljet. In the centre of Pomena is a small harbour of the same name. Near Pomena is village Govedari, only 2 kilometres west. Pomena changed it`s name in 19th century, before it was called "Pomina". Economy is based on a fishing, farming and tourism.

Regional road along the island is coming through Pomena. In front of the Pomena is a small islet of Pomestak. A small harbour offer an excellent protection from wind and sea for yachts and it is ideal for docking.

Roman country mansion "Villa Rustica" is bulit in Pomena. It`s remains you can still see.
