Tribunj (Croatia, North Dalmatia) is an old Dalmatian town. It has about 1500 inhabitants. Under name Tribahunj it is first time mentioned in 1463. Trough the history it was called Trebic, Trebiste, Trebunj, Jurjevgrad, 3 Bocconi. Tribunj is one of the six youngest county in Republic of Croatia.

Old part of Tribunj is situated on island which is connected with land with old rocky bridge. Tribunj is typical Dalmatian town with tight streets and compact houses. In 1650. fort Jurjevgrad was built on a hill St. Nicholas. There is a St. Nicholas Church built in 1452. St. Nicholas is very respected Saint in Tribunj. He is protector of children, seamen, fishermen, poor people, tradesmen...

Oldest church in Tribunj is Church of campaign of blessed Virgin Mary, built in 1435. It is surrounded with beautiful garden and located on a hill Mikule. St. Mary's Church was built in 1509. Church of Assumption of Mary was built in 1883. and it is only church where the mas is served.

Tribunj is surrounded with a sea. It has 3 known beaches: Sinje more, Zamalin and Sovlja. Sovlja is place 1 km far from Tribunj. It has beautiful bay with clean sea, no noise, not many cars... Most popular beach is Zamalin, but most adequate for tourists with children is Sinje more. For fun you can visit old part of Tribunj accross the bridge. There are bars, restaurants, buffets...

Tribunj offers accommodation in apartments, rooms and private houses. Some of them are near and some further from the sea. Inhabitants of Tribunj are mostly directed to olive-growing and fishing. Tribunj has its own oil mill, which is considered as largest Dalmatian oil mill, since 1987. Tribunj is very friendly and nice town.
