Veli Losinj (Croatia, Kvarner, Island Losinj) is a small town situated in the south of the island of Losinj in the bay of Kvarner. At the entrance to the harbor there is the baroque church of St. Anthony the Hermit from the 17th century, which was built on the remains of a smaller church from the 15th century. The harbor is also ruled by the Tower, dating from the 15th century. It was built to shelter the town from pirate attacks.

The magnificent old stone houses, surrounded by parks and exotic vegetation, speak of the town's rich seafaring tradition. Thanks to its favorable climate conditions Veli Losinj is well known health resort. More than 100 years ago the air, the sea and the sun in Veli Losinj were discovered by the Habsburg Archduke Charles Stephen, who used to spend his vacations here. He built a house for recreational and health tourism. Near the town of Veli Losinj lies Rovenska, a small fishing harbour, where the air smells of freshness, fish and the sea. It is really nice to see the area as seen from the sea by making boat excursions.
