Vrboska (Croatia, Central Dalmatia, Island Hvar) is a nice small place placed in a small but long bay. Around Vrboska there is a dense pine wood. It is only half an hour walk from Jelsa. It is situated on the long and shallow inlet of the sea, small bridges connect the two banks which make Vrboska special.

In Vrboska there is small fort-church, the church in the middle is situated on the small rise and it's called St. Mary. It dates from 1575. It had to be fortified because of Turkish attacks. The church dominates the town centre even being such a small size. Because of its architecture it is one of the most attractive buildings of this kind on the Dalmatian coast.
