Podaca (Central Dalmatia, Croatia) is touristic settlement located around 35 km south from Makarska. It is consisted of three hamlets: Kapec, Ravanje and Viskovica vala. Podaca has around 660 inhabitants mostly directed to tourism.

Name Podaca was first time mentioned in 1571. Podaca was inhabitated since Prehistory. Many remains found on this area testify about life in Podaca. Croats inhabitated this area in 7th century. They inhabitated slopes of the mountain for easier defense from Turks. That part is today called Upper Podaca.
