Omisalj (Croatia, Kvarner, Island Krk) is situated in northwest part of island of Krk in Croatia. It is located on asloped hill (85 m) from where you can see Rijeka, Opatija and island Cres. Omisalj is first time mentioned in 1153. as "Castri Musculi" (place where you can find shells). Omisalj is important center of literacy and glagolism since 11th century. First written monuments derive from 12th century.

Inhabitants in Omisalj are directed to fishing, chemistry industry, tourism and agriculture. In Omisalj bay there is a tanker terminal. Omisalj has many things to offer.
