Vodice (Croatia, North Dalmatia) are located 11 km northwest from Sibenik (Dalmatia, Croatia). Vodice have 10 000 inhabitants. Vodice are known tourist center in the middle of Croatian Adriatic, for last 50 years. In Velika Mrdakovica there were found remains of preromanic settlements and Liburnian barrows from 4th century BC.

Genesis of Vodice is connected with build of St. Cross Church in 1402. Vodice is also mentioned in Sibenik's note. Vodice were exporting clean and drinking water until 19th century. There are 2 water-wells kept on the main city square.

In the 15th and 16th century tall defensive wall was built. In front of City gate there was built badz-han., where fair newcomers had to leave their horses and weapons. In the center of town there is Coric's tower built in 1646. as villa of family Fondra. After Turks left, Vodice are growing, building outside of city walls....

Vodice has many historical heritage. Hill Okit with a Church of Lady of Karmel, built in 17th century with The Way of Cross in hill''s bottom, built in 20th century. Church of St. Cross, built in 1402., small gothic church, with old graveyard around it. Church of St. Ilija the Prophet, built in 1298., which is surrounded with a wall. Mass is served in it once a year on 20th of August. Roman enclosure for collecting rain, it is still used for watering plants and livestock to drink.
